Alumni Attached to Almost Half of 2021 Oscars Best International Film Longlist

Dec 18, 2020

This year, our Talents alumni broke their own records when it came to submissions for the Oscars Best International Film category. Of the 89 entries put forward for the longlist, 39 of those films have alumni attached, more than 75 alumni in fact. With submissions now closed the entries will be reduced to a shortlist of ten, to be announced on February 9, 2021.

We’re especially proud that You Will Die at Twenty, starring Mustafa Shehata, which producer Hossam Elouan and director Amjad Abu Alala presented in development at our 2017 Talent Project Market, was selected as Sudan’s first ever entry to the Academy Awards.
