Since 2007 Kristina has directed and written several award winning short films. Her first feature Sashinka was supported by Telefilm Canada’s "Talents to watch" program and was showcased in many festivals (SIFF, Whistler and TOFIFEST…) and won the “Indie Spirit Award” at the Naples IFF. Sashinka had a theatrical release in Quebec, was nominated for 3 Canadian Screen Awards and was sold to Radio Canada, TV5 Monde and Super Écran. Kristina studied at INIS in Montreal in 2010, she has a bachelor's degree in Communication at the Lugano University and she also attended several prestigious workshops, including The Summer Film School at the Locarno Film Festival 2008, the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2011, the Eave producer's workshop in 2014 and is part of the eight finalists of the Academy Apprenticeship for Women Directors (selected from 350 candidates) in 2018-19.
