
Born in La Paz, Bolivia in 1984, Kiro Russo is a film director, editor, screenwriter and sound designer. He is known for building a cinema of deep cinematic, political and sonorous experiences, that questions the limits of cinematographic language and rescues old traditions to rediscover and reinterpret them. Kiro's features and short films have participated and won awards at several of the most important international festivals around the world such as la Biennale di venezia, Locarno Film Festival, Rotterdam International Film Festival, San Sebastian Film Festival, New York Film Festival, Viennale, Jeonju film festival, Cartagena, Bafici, Indielisboa, among many others. Kiro is currently developing his third feature film, “Lost Songs”, the conclusion of his mining trilogy.
