Pilar Palomero

Born in Zaragoza (Spain). In 2013 Pilar began an MFA in filmmaking at Film Factory (Sarajevo) under the leadership of Hungarian filmmaker Béla Tarr. Before, she worked for several years as a (...) screenwriter and film teacher. Her short films have been screened at festivals such as Warsaw International Film Festival, Sarajevo Film Festival, DocLisboa, St. Louis Film Festival, Huesca Film Festival, Institute of Contemporary Arts of London or Busan International Short Film Festival, among others. She has been Berlinale Talents 2017 and Sarajevo Talents 2016 alumni. Her debut film LAS NIÑAS was in competition at the Generation Kplus Berlinale 2020. Also won the Golden Biznaga for the best Spanish film at Málaga Film Festival 2020 and has achieved 9 nominations for the 2021 Goya-Spanish Film Academy Awards, including Best Film.
