ARTE
Founded in 1990 by France and Germany, ARTE is committed to providing cultural programming that promotes unity and understanding among Europeans. ARTE is a patron of creative filmmaking and quality cinema and supports cinema that is fresh, challenging, and open-minded, often in its original language. The streaming service arte.tv proposes a wide range of cinema including films and short films, masterclasses, retrospectives, portraits, and collections. On broadcast, out of the seven Prime Times per week, ARTE dedicates five evenings to fiction: classic movies on Mondays, European movies in the original version on Wednesdays, Series on Thursdays, TV movies on Fridays and blockbusters on Sundays.
ARTE is proud to be a partner of Berlinale Talents as it institutes and supports talent-development initiatives. The channel is committed to helping independent artists all over the globe to realise their unique visions of the world and its complexities. Through its important position as a co-production partner in the European film landscape, ARTE joins Berlinale Talents as host of a Talents Circle session. The Talents Circles seek to connect our talented filmmakers with leading figures and funding institutions in the industry. Each session consists of a series of small discussion groups, led by experts selected together with our partners. We look forward to working together again in the upcoming edition in 2025.
