VFF - Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film- und Fernsehproduzenten
VFF (Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film- und Fernsehproduzenten) is the German Collecting Society for Film & Television Producers, whose primary task is the collective management of rights in the field of copyright. They stand between authors/beneficiaries and users, monitoring use of the work and collecting fees agreed by contracts or determined through tariffs, and distributing the collections to the rights holders. VFF collects for in-house and commissioned productions of TV programmes, taking care of remunerations like the blank tape levy or cable distribution.
A long-standing supporter of Berlinale Talents, VFF does so in the framework of the Talent Project Market, through the organisation and prize funding of the VFF Talent Highlight Award. Each year, the ten selected producers pitch their projects to potential co-producers and financiers at the Berlinale Co-Production Market and simultaneously compete for the award. The winning project receives EUR 10,000 and two runners-up receive EUR 1,000.
We are looking forward to working together again in the upcoming edition.
