Goethe-Institut

The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institution with offices worldwide. Alongside FIPRESCI, the Goethe-Institut is the official partner of Talent Press, a Berlinale Talents programme which invites eight film critics to the festival to cover current trends in world cinema and to hone their writing. Their insights are then published on the Talent Press, FIPRESCI and Goethe-Institut websites.

Around the year, the Goethe-Institut’s offices worldwide are also longstanding key partners of the Talents International initiatives and specifically support Talent Press activities there.

The Goethe-Institut also supported the Berlinale Talents podcast series "Berlinale's House of Talents!", which was developed during the pandemic. Listen now to the six episodes which cover an exciting range of topics from working with Wes Anderson on creating his visionary sets, to discussing dreams with Apichatpong Weerasethakul or exploring coming of age with Céline Sciamma.
