Ascan Breuer

Award-winning filmmaker, editor, producer, and video artist specialized in documentary; director of „UNDOX – Int. Festival of Innovative Documentary Art“; founder of "Dokulab – Dokumentarisches (...) Labor"; university lecturer (visual anthropology, documentary theory and practice). In 2015 he received the "Outstanding Artist Award" (Republic of Austria); currently he is working on the multimedia documentary project "Starless in Stalingrad" (link see below). He is based in Vienna, born in Hamburg of German-Chinese-Indonesian descent. He is especially interested in the co-production and support of innovative documentary filmmaking.
