Paul is a Canadian-American writer, producer, and director based in New York City. He has produced high profile documentaries for CNN Films, Amazon Studios, YouTube Originals, Field of Vision, and the Luma Foundation. His films have premiered at major international festivals including Sundance FF, Tribeca FF, San Francisco FF, Berlin FF, Vienna FF, MoMA’s New Directors/New Films, Visions du Reél, and CPH:DOX. In 2019, Paul produced the acclaimed documentary HALSTON for CNN Films and Amazon Studios. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was released theatrically by 1091 Media. That same year, he also produced the independent comedy/drama THE PLAGIARISTS, which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, played at New Directors/New Films, and was a New York Times Critics’ Pick. In 2020, he served as Supervising Producer on THIS IS PARIS, a documentary about Paris Hilton for IPC and YouTube Originals. The film premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and has received more than 75 million views since its online release. He is co-producer of the documentary INVISIBLE BEAUTY, directed by Bethann Hardison and Frédéric Tcheng, which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. Paul is the co-writer of the drama REALITY (Berlinale '23) starring Sydney Sweeney and produced by Jake Gyllenhaal. He is the director of the upcoming short CLEAN ME starring Lucy Kaminsky and Rachel Lin. He is a graduate of The Cooper Union School of Architecture in New York City.
