I come from a dual culture and my cinema explores the links between the little history and the big history, the intimate and the political. How does the intimate meet the political ? How does the big history influence the little history ? I often feature characters who are invisible, on the margins of society, struggling to find their place. The question of the margins is central to my work. I'm also committed to deconstructing certain stereotypes. I have always considered cinema as a healing weapon.
