Layla Meijman graduated from the NFTA in 2013. For the past years she worked as creative producer for established production company Pupkin. Where she initiated several projects such as the short film Import, series TreurTeeVee (Circus Treurdier), feature film Take Me Somewhere Nice (Ena Sendijarevic) and Boy Meets Gun (Joost van Hezik). Her productions have been selected at numerous international film festivals, including Cannes, TIFF, Berlinale, Busan, IFFR and Sarajevo. She recently founded her own boutique production company Studio Ruba together with producer Maarten van der Ven.
