Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Ricardo moved to London in 2012 for an MA in Filmmaking. With a particular focus on narrative editing, the short films he worked for won several major awards, including the 2014 Cannes Short Film Palm D'or (LEIDI, Simon M. Soto) and two consecutive Best UK Short - London Short Film Festival in 2015 (LEIDI) and 2016 (TAMARA, Sofia Safonova). He also edited the 2015 Locarno nominated KM 73 (Radu Ghelbereu) and the 2015 European Film Awards nominated THE TRANSLATOR (Emre Kayis). In 2015, Ricardo was selected to join the prestigious Talents Programme at the 65th Berlinale Film Festival.
