Sandra Romero

Sandra Romero (Écija, 1993) lives her entire childhood between the countryside and the town, in that quietness that breaks the inevitable need to grow up. Years later, she went to the Andalusian (...) capital and studied journalism at the University of Seville. There, she discovers her interest in stories and finds her own way to tell them through the films. She went to Madrid and continued her training in film directing at ECAM. At school, she graduated with A ROOM OF ONE'S OWN (2019), which premieres at the Seville European Film Festival. With her second short film, WHERE THE SILENCES PASSES (2020), which is selected at festivals such as Medina del Campo, Seville European Film Festival, or the Inside Out festival in Toronto, she receives a Silver Biznaga for best direction at the Málaga Film Festival. She is now developing her first feature film at the Residences of the Spanish Film Academy.
