VANINA VIGNAL

After theater studies at the Jacques Lecoq International School of Theater and Movement, and at the National Theater Conservatory of Romania, Vanina Vignal started her career as an actress. She then (...) worked as an assistant editor and an assistant director, before turning to her own author documentaries projects*. Her activity as a cineast is not limited to her own films. It is including cinema lectures she is giving in french and roumanian colleges. Together with the French Embassy and Societatea Culturală NexT, she is co-founder of "Education à l'image", a stature project of film education in the roumanian Colleges. Vanina is regularly a jury member in international film festivals, and she is translating films or scenarii from Romanian to French. She has been a film selectioner for ADDOC (French Association of Documentarist Cineast), ACID (Association for Distributing Independent cinema) and ACID Cannes. She has been the artistic co-director (with Andrei Rus) for the International Documentary and Human rights Film Festival ONE WORLD ROMANIA. ................................................................................................................................................. * Vanina Vignal : How do we carry on living, afterwards, when we’ve grown up with a dictatorship, when we shaped our lives under this dictatorship, when it’s part of us ?
