Iraqi- Swedish actor & writer, based out of New York City and Gothenburg, Sweden. Storytelling as a tool to heal communities, affect change all while entertaining some folks along the way is what I’m all about. As an actor, I enjoy exploring all kinds of characters and themes, but some of my favorite roles have included WMD or Noura, women who at a first glance are discounted but come back with a vengeance. They are overlooked in society but incredibly strong, compassionate, and resilient in the face of adversity. They are the women who have the ability to bring any audience with them. While in comedy, I gravitate towards the fun-loving, energetic type mixed in with Gerwig’s intimate yet restless spirit of Frances Ha. Ultimately I stand up for my characters, aim to do things differently, and focus on serving the story we are all trying to collectively tell.
